Yoga is beneficial for body and mind.

WHAT IS YOGA ?

When you lift weights, your muscles get stronger and bigger.  A regular yoga practice allows your brain cells to develop new connections, and changes occur in brain struc­ture as well as function, resulting in improved cog­nitive skills, such as learning and memory. Yoga strengthens parts of the brain that play a key role in memory, attention, awareness, thought, and language. Think of it as weightlifting for the brain.

Yoga Therapy looks at mental health problems through interaction at the body and mind levels which can allow clients to better understand any disturbances in the mind or thoughts and how to reduce those. This may in turn, lead to deeper understandings for the individual, sometimes with a spiritual element or aspects of deeper meaning. The level at which clients wish to engage is completely their choice.
